Story :-
Franklin is of retirement age and looking to rewrite his will to leave all his money to his grandkids. Upon doing so and making it known, his son Caleb, immediately takes issue. He believes his children are irresponsible and would squander their inheritance.
Caleb demands that his father change his will to put him in charge of his finances once he passes, but Franklin refuses. He says he wants his grandkids to have a leg up in life and that Caleb didn’t need the money because he has a good job and inheritance from his late mother. Franklin remains resolute that the will remains unchanged.
Upon hearing this, Caleb tries to argue with Franklin's lawyer that he’s mentally unwell and not fit to make any decisions regarding his finances but the lawyers shoot him down. Franklin then decides to reveal his father’s antics to his grandson.
However, this results in a fight between his grandson and his son. Caleb’s wife Valerie, then tries to talk sense into him and learns some disturbing information. Caleb has been squandering their money on gambling for years. He’s drained their joint bank account, his savings and all of his inheritance on top of squandering his daughter’s college fund. He is also in debt to some sketchy loan sharks.
Val and Franklin decide to confront Caleb and force him to tell everyone the truth. It is then revealed that he also remortgaged their home. Val says she wants a divorce. The twins move in with their grandad while Val and her daughter go to live with her mother, leaving Caleb to pick up the pieces alone.
