PREVIEW: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB are on a two-match defeat run, while DC are the only side yet to win a game in IPL 2023. The David Warner-led side have played four and been defeated in all the games. DC would be seeking their first win of the season, while RCB would be desperate to get back to winning ways after a close defeat against LSG. While the batting has looked good for RCB, the bowling has looked an issue, especially in the end overs. In both matches against KKR and LSG, RCB bowlers were responsible for conceding more than 60 runs in the last five overs. Harshal Patel has not bowled well, and so has Mohammed Siraj. RCB needs to tighten their end overs bowling, or else they could not even defend high scores. Wanindu Hasranga returns for RCB, and that should solve some issues in the middle overs. Wayne Parnell could be used in the end overs, as he has been effective at that role for South Africa and franchise T20 cricket across the globe. Speaking about DC, their batting has looked ordinary, with none of the batters scoring runs at a sr over 150. Warner has scored runs in all four games, but it has come at a dismal run rate. The pitch at RCB will favor batters as seen in the two games against KKR and LSG. It is a high-scoring venue, with 170 being the average first innings score.
