Naveen ul Haq's Heated Exchange With Virat Kohli: How the Ugly Post-Match Fight with Gautam Gambhir Began
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) registered an important away win against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The fire and the heat came from former RCB skipper Virat Kohli, who was pumped up and was egging on the crowd, shushing them as the visitors defended a low score in Lucknow.The tempers flared during and after the match in particular as Kohli and Gautam Gambhir got into a heated exchange. Both were in each other's faces before being separated by their respective teammates. However, it wasn't the two who started the spat. It all started during the match when LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq said something to Kohli between the overs, before the 16th over of the second innings. Senior statesman Amit Mishra and one of the on-field umpires came to the rescue and separated Kohli and Naveen ul haq before the matter got heated.
It seemed like the matter had settled down but during the customary handshake between the two teams, Naveen said something to Kohli yet again and the former RCB skipper didn't hold himself back again. Glenn Maxwell asked Naveen to calm down before they went their separate ways. But this was just the start. Gambhir apparently wasn't happy with how Kohli talked to his team's youngster so he took Kyle Mayers, who was talking to the Virat Kohli, away midway from the discussion the two were having.
It didn't die down then too as Kohli kept explaining his point and Gambhir too continued mouthing something and both cleared their stance. KL Rahul and Amit Mishra took Gambhir away and Faf du Plessis took Kohli away as finally, the whole episode came to a close. This is not the first time that Kohli and Gambhir had a war of words with each other in the IPL as the two had a spat 10 years ago in IPL 2013 .
