There are jitters in the West as Russian President Vladimir Putin holds a meeting with Chinese Defence Minister Li Shangfu in Moscow. During the meeting, Putin vowed to expand military cooperation with China amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. The meeting comes in the midst of reports of China 'secretly agreeing to arm Russia.' Last week, leaked Pentagon documents showed that China has approved the provision of lethal aid to Russia but wants shipments to remain a secret. Notably, Chinese Defence Minister Li Shangfu said during his meeting with Putin that Beijing is willing to work with the Russian military to have close communications.
