3 ways to Register Marriage in DVV Finland When your marriage concluded abroad
1. Delivering documents in person to Digital and Population data Services Agency (DVV)
If you would like to deliver your documents to DVVin person.
Book an appointment “ Select International Registration
When you booked for your appointment, make sure you have the original documents with you legalized and Appostile Authenticated Marriage certificate. They will be copied the original certificate will be returned to you immediately.
2. Delivering documents through Finnish Diplomatic Mission
You may send the signed Accomplished Notification of Marriage Outside Finland Form to the Embassy
together with your certificate of Marriage with DFA apostille
A. PSA issued certificate of Marriage with DFA apostille
B. Passport copies of both spouses
C. Proof of payment of courier for the return of legalized documents
Kindly provide the complete mailing address where the legalized documents will be delivered , your local mobile or of your authorized representative and email address
Payment deposited in BPI Account : Please email the embassy of Finland they will provide and give your thier bank account details

If you are Finnish citizen living abroad , submit necessary documents to the DVV through Finnish mission abroad in Person or by mail
Bring Marriage certificate authenticated copy Appostile and legalized with a notification of marriage outside Finland form
3. Delivering Documents by Mail in DVV
If you submit documents by mail to the Digital and Population Agency deliver them as certified copies they will not return certified copies.
Do not send money or Passport
Once your certificate of Marriage has been legalised the embassy will forward electronically the Request for Registration in DVV.
Inquiries and Email messages will not speed up the process of Notification. You will recieve a confirmation from the DVV once your marriage and possible changes of Surname Recorded. You will recieve a decision
