The Shanghai National Convention and Exhibition Center is a joint project of the Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is a super-large convention and exhibition center integrating exhibitions, conferences, events, offices, and hotels. The site is located in the west of the core section of Hongqiao Business District, close to Hongqiao Airport and Railway Station. It is a new top ten landmark building in Shanghai. With a total construction area of over 1.5 million square meters, the National Convention and Exhibition Center is currently the largest convention and exhibition complex in the world.
The National Convention and Exhibition Center adopts the prototype of the beautiful and auspicious "four-leaf clover". With the central square as the center of the flower, four leaf-shaped main bodies with distinct veins are stretched out in four directions, forming a more iconic and visually impactful centralized The composition creates a new exhibition mode with high-efficiency operation, which fully embodies the functional, iconic, economical and technological design principles and modeling concepts.
上海国家会展中心是商务部和上海市人民政府合作共建的项目，是集展览、会议、活动、办公、宾馆于一体的超大型会展中心。选址在虹桥商务区核心段西部，临近虹桥机场和火车站，是上海新十大地标建筑。国家会展中心总建筑面积超150万平方米，是目前世界上最大的会展综合体。
国家会展中心采用优美而具有吉祥寓意的“四叶草”原型，以中央广场为花心，向四个方向伸展出四片脉络分明的叶片状主体，形成更具有标志性和视觉冲击力的集中式构图，创造出高效率运营的新型会展模式，充分体现出功能性、标志性、经济性和科技性的设计原则和造型理念。
