Made-In-India VSHORADS missile successfully tested; Man-portable air defence to plug gaps at LAC

 

India on Tuesday carried out two back-to-back tests of an indigenous air defence weapon - the very short-range air defence system (VSHORADS) missile. It was test fired off the Odisha coast. Designed and developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the VSHORADS are a man-portable air defence system that can neutralise low-altitude aerial threats at short ranges.
