A look around Dinas Station on the Welsh Highland Railway. This station has a fascinating history. Built as an interchange between the standard gauge London and North Western Railway and the North Wales Narrow Gauge Railway. The narrow gauge services ended in 1936, and the standard gauge station closed in 1951. It was reopened by the new Welsh Highland Railway in 1997. Today it is the site of the Railway's carriage and engine sheds. There is a wide range of rolling stock on display, a Victorian De Winton locomotive on static display and a mystery locomotive (any ideas of its identification please leave them in comments). Also the Victorian waiting room and good shed survive. Filmed 11 February 2023 #WelshHighlandRailway #DinasStation #narrowgauge
