My #homelab doesn't have ANY Windows 11 VMs yet, and that's because to properly run Win11 in a VM, you need a TPM or Trusted Platform Module. Well, my virtual hosts don't have TPMs, so what's a guy to do? INSTALL THEM, THAT'S WHAT! (And that's what I did!) Come along for the fun!
In this video, Rich will walk you through what a TPM module is, how and where it installs in a certain Supermicro server, how to verify the TPM is seen by #VMware #ESXi, setting up a local key provider in #vCenter Server 8, backing up that local key provider, adding a new vTPM to a Windows 10 VM, verifying the vTPM is seen by the Windows 10 VM, and upgrading that Windows 10 VM to Windows 11.
