Siberia's Slums Are Collapsing: What They Hide in This $139 Pension Desert | Kyzyl, Tyva

I went to Tyva, Siberia's most isolated region, to find out if it is truly the most dangerous place in Russia. With a homicide rate of 45 per 100,000, Kyzyl feels like a frozen favela where locals warn you to carry pepper spray. From smoke-filled shaman cabins to dying villages in Karelia kept alive by a single mobile shop, this is Russia far away from the Moscow glitz. Watch what happens when we try to film in the slums where even the police refuse to go.
