Warren Buffet's investing philosophy is based on identifying which stocks to buy and which to hold. He believes that the best brands to buy and hold are those of unprofitable companies that have a high chance of long-term success. This investment strategy by Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.B) also invests in these types of stocks and other types of stocks. Over the past ten years, BRK.B provided an annualized return of 11.39%. Many investors are aware of the connection between Coca-Cola stock (NYSE: KO ) and Warren Buffett. Its annual return has averaged 15.6% over the past decade. Capital invested in MCK shares 10 years ago will have more than four times the value.
DaVita Stock (NYSE: DVA ) has not performed as well as many other stocks on this list over the past decade. Overall, it did 5% better than the New York Stock Exchange where it was listed. The capital invested in DaVita would have appreciated the profit by 59% less than this period. Chevron (NYSE:CVX) has taken a turn for the worse as the United States rapidly transitions away from fossil fuels and toward alternative energy sources. However, the need for fuel has been kept in check. Recently, Americans have once again realized how dependent on foreign oil can affect our lives in a negative way, as the average price of gasoline rises above $5 in June.
