After having our durian tasting at Heng Heng 88 Durian fruit stand in Johor, Malaysia, we had a lot left over. So we took it home and made some tasty treats. Do it yourself! DIY. Homemade ice cream and popsicles without an ice cream machine! Anyone can make it, even our kids! See below for full recipe.

RECIPE:
5 pasteurized eggs ( we'll use the egg yolks )
1 ripe banana
1 cup [ 230ml ] of coconut cream or heavy cream
1/8 cup [ 30ml ] of honey
1 lb [ 500g ] of fresh durian
DIRECTIONS
- Buy or pasteurize 5 eggs then add the egg yolks to the blender or mixing bowl. The egg yolks make the ice cream very creamy!
- Add the banana ( banana can be optional ), cream, honey into the blender and blend until creamy.
Place in the freezer for about an hour or until the mixture begins to harden.
After an hour, remove from the freezer and mix until creamy. You want to mix the frozen chunks that start to form to make a smooth and creamy consistency. Then return to the freezer for another hour.
After the second hour, mix again until smooth and creamy. If your ice cream is too soft you can return it to the freezer to harden. The more you mix the creamier it will get.
