A megyei I. osztályú focibajnokság megnyerését követően a Majosi SE sikerrel vívta meg osztályozós párharcát a Nyíregyházával. Kardos Ernő edző csapata az idegenbeli 2-2 után június 12-én, hazai pályán 1-1-es döntetlent játszott riválisával, s ezzel a 2020/2021-es idényt követően ősztől ismét az NB III-ban szerepelhet. A lefújást követően a majosiak trénere elérzékenyülve nyilatkozott Rónai Gábor kollégánknak.
