Did you know that in the film DONNIE DARKO from 2001, there are 2 scenes that pay homage to classic, nineteen eighties movies. During the opening sequence, we see Donnie, who is played by Jake Gyllenhaal riding his bicycle. This scene pays homage to the Goonies. I’m sure you can see the similarities for yourself. The other sequence where Donnie is seen riding with his friends, is in reference to the Steven Spielberg film, E.T.
