Boracay Airport - Getting to Boracay by Plane Boracay Airport (MPH) - Caticlan Airport operates with both domestic and international flights. Officially named the Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, it is the nearest airport to Boracay, situated on the southern tip of the island. Generally, plane tickets to Caticlan Airport are more expensive, probably because of its shorter distance to Boracay. Boracay Airport isn’t actually on Boracay, but it remains the main gateway to the island. It’s actually at the northern tip of Panay Island, but it takes less than 1 hour, including a boat ride, to get to Boracay Island once you're out of the airport. Also known as Godofredo P. Ramos Airport (sometimes by its old name, Caticlan Airport), it’s a relatively modest place but has the facilities to receive medium-sized jet aircraft flying to and from international destinations. The good thing about its small size is that the process of immigration and baggage collection is usually quick and easy.
