A spell check feature in Microsoft office helps us to correct our mistakes. If we are typing some text in a document and we wrote a wrong word by doing some spelling mistake, then Microsoft Word highlights it with a red color. But, if a misspelled word is added to its custom dictionary then it won’t highlight it and we will not be able to see it or correct it. In this video, we will fix this issue and learn how to remove a misspelled word from spell check.
1. Click on the File tab.
2. From the menu list, click on the Options.
3. In the Word Options window, click on Proofing.
4. Make sure the Suggest from the main dictionary only option is deselected. If it is selected, then uncheck this check box.
5. Click on the Custom Dictionaries button.
6. Under All languages, select the Custom.Dic
7. Click on the Edit Word List…
8. Select the misspelled word from the Dictionary box.
9. Click on the Delete button, and then click on the OK button.
10. Click again on the OK button to close the Custom Dictionaries box.
11. Click one more time on the OK button to close the Word Options window.
12. See, the misspelled word has been highlighted with a red color mark.
