Why Clustering Analysis is important?
Clustering analysis is a method of unsupervised learning: we do not know the data distribution and our goal is to find patterns and clusters in data. There are many clustering algorithms to choose from, but they all have one thing in common: they work by using distance measurements between points.
Clustering can be used for analyzing large sets of unorganized data such as the stars' positions that we observe from outside our galaxy, or for organizing your music library into different genres such as "party songs" or "sad songs". The technique also has important applications in business intelligence where it can be used to identify customer groups with similar characteristics. Clusters found may suggest new products, advertising campaigns etc.
