The Riyadh Metro is an Arab expressway system being built in the capital of Saudi Riyadh. It will consist of six metro lines, totaling 176 kilometers, with 85 stations. The project will cost $ 22.5 billion to build. It is expected to open to passengers on December 31, 2021. It will be the second metro system in Saudi Arabia after the Mecca metro opened in November 2010, fourth in the Arabian Peninsula, sixth in the Arab world and fifteenth in the Middle East.
