You'll install Power BI Desktop, import data from CSV and Excel files, and clean it up in Power Query Editor. Then you'll connect your tables with relationships and build a report with a chart and slicer, tables, a map, a line chart and KPI cards.
Quick Measures handle year-over-year and year-to-date calculations without writing DAX, and you'll get a first look at creating your own DAX measure. To finish, you'll publish the report to the web, share it with others, and add it as a tab in Microsoft Teams.
Good to know:
- Power BI Desktop runs on Windows only.
- Publishing and sharing online need a work or school account. Personal emails like Gmail or Outlook.com aren't accepted.
- Sharing reports with colleagues requires a Power BI Pro license.
- The map visual now uses Azure Maps, so yours may look different from the video.
