A person can often prevent and treat plaque buildup at home. However, if someone does not practice good dental hygiene, plaque can turn into a hard yellow-brown substance called Tartar. But the question is from where this plaque or Tartar comes in our mouth? When people eat, bacteria in the mouth break down the carbohydrates from food into acid, mixing with leftover food particles and saliva to create plaque. Brushing and flossing often prevent plaque and Tartar from forming. However, Tartar can be more difficult to remove and sometimes requires a visit to the dentist's office for a professional cleaning. There are natural ways to remove Tartar from the comfort of your home. 1: Removing Tartar with Baking Soda: To add teeth whitening and tartar fighting mixture, try shaking some baking soda onto a wet toothbrush and thoroughly scrubbing both teeth and gums. Leave the baking soda on for at least fifteen minutes before rinsing. Baking soda can neutralize harmful acids from sodas and foods while also killing bacteria and naturally whitening teeth. 2: Oil pulling with coconut oil: Oil pulling is an easy way to remove bacteria from the mouth and improve oral health. Coconut oil is ideal for oil pulling because of its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. In addition, coconut oil also contains lauric acid, a fatty acid with antimicrobial properties. Other effective oils for oil pulling include: • olive oil • almond oil • sesame oil Number 3: White Vinegar to Remove Tartar: Using white vinegar is another method that can cut through Tartar. Start by mixing white vinegar in a glass of warm saltwater. This solution can then be gargled once a day to aid in the removal of Tartar that has formed on the region between the teeth and gums. Number 4: Using Orange Peels for Tartar Orange peels are also a great way to get rid of Tartar. This is easy to do as you take the inside of an orange peel and rub it along the teeth and gum areas. Another method is used by making a paste from the mashed bits of the inside of the peel and mixing them with water. This paste can then be applied to the teeth with a toothbrush. Number 5: Our Bonus Tip: While there are many ways to remove plaque, but of course, the best solution to tarter is to stop it before it starts. This is done by brushing your teeth two times daily for at least two minutes with the brush being at a forty-five-degree angle to your teeth, making sure to brush each side of each tooth completely. To wrap it up: Oral care doesn't have to be fancy, and it most assuredly doesn't have to come out of an overpriced box from the pharmacy. Eliminating tarter is not only necessary for a white smile but also for keeping teeth strong and healthy for a long time. Visiting a dentist for regular checkups and cleanings is another essential step for maintaining good oral hygiene. For people with excessive plaque or severe gum disease, a dentist may also recommend prescription-strength mouthwashes or changes to the person's oral care routine. #RemoveTartarBuildup #RemovePlaque #RemoveTartar ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Disclaimer: I am an Amazon affiliate.
