Although she isn't well-remembered today, Constance Bennett (October 22, 1904 - July 24, 1965) was, in the early 1930s, the highest-paid actress in Hollywood. She was beautiful and often played sophisticated roles or that of girls who become sophisticated. Of course, there were a lot of heartaches, romance, and even comedic moments in her films, and the pre-code era gave her the opportunity to shine. Some of her pre-code films are hard to find, however, the Warner Archive has released some in DVD-R format. Joel McCrea, Basil Rathbone, Richard Barthelmess, Ben Lyon, Neil Hamilton, Robert Montgomery, and Gilbert Roland (who would later become her third husband) were just a few of her leading men. Song is "Love Is The Drug" by The Bryan Ferry Orchestra.
