Note: Recently, some feeding therapists have raised concerns about potential issues with the 360 Cup. These concerns include:
- Some kids use excessive jaw movements to get the liquid out.
- It may cause a child's tongue to rest at the front of their mouth.
- Some children tip their heads back when drinking from the 360 cup, which can force the tongue to work in an abnormal pattern and increase the risk of aspiration when they drink the last drops of liquid from the cup (which is where the liquid goes into the lungs instead of the stomach).
I haven't found specific research confirming these concerns and some feeding therapists still recommend the 360 cup. But given these concerns that some feeding therapists have expressed, it is something to consider when purchasing it.
