After a tightly contested and scoreless first half Manchester United struck first wehn Diallo, who had just come off the bench in relief, headed one home in the 50’. From there Manchester United controlled the match and seemed that they would hold on for a decisive 1-0 first leg win. However late into stoppage Kjær got his head on the ball and found the back of the net for the equalizer. The second leg is back in Italy on March, 18.
