Do Reflection Filters (a.k.a Portable Vocal Booths) actually work?

Do reflection filters actually work? I think they do - but to a certain degree. In my video test, I could barely hear the difference. (The recording with the reflection filter sounds slightly cleaner and less bright to me.) Sure, having the reflection filter helps prevent unwanted sounds to be picked up by the microphone. However, they don't replace properly treated rooms and acoustics. Still - it's handy to have one around, whenever you just want a cleaner sounding recording. (And to help your vocalist get serious, too - psychologically.) == 🎤 The Samson RC-10 is a small, basic reflection filter that will be helpful: https://www.audiomentor.com/gear/rc-10 🇱🇷 In Malaysia?
