7 Days to Die: Functional Elevator in Basement

 

In this video, I wanted to showcase making an elevator in the basement that goes to the second floor up. Was I in creative mode and using admin tools to help me? Yes. However, I did this to confirm what was needed to actually build the elevator in the basement. It turns out, you need to go five blocks down and 3 blocks long and wide (9 blocks for the floor on the fifth level down). Once you have the shaft empty and carved out with an auger for instance, you then need to go out 2-5 blocks away from the elevator (where you'd want the elevator to face) and then you should be able to place the elevator. A lot of people have mentioned wanting elevators that do more, go higher etc. etc., but the reality is that requires a lot of work I'm not currently prepared for. Don't be discouraged, new variants of the elevator will eventually come out, but for now, hopefully this shows you just one way to use the elevator!
