Today, we are casting out live shrimp on a float fishing rig to target speckled trout, red drum, black drum, and anything else that will bite. Using live shrimp on a slip float rig is one of my favorite methods to use in this area. It helps me avoid snags by not fishing on the bottom and the live shrimp provides nice natural action that the fish can’t resist. Have you tried this method before? What do you think?
We are fishing at this small creek in Jacksonville Florida. The fish of choice at this particular spot is speckled trout, but I wouldn’t mind seeing what else I can catch.
