Tired of being forced to reinstall files and updates. Its a never ending loop and its occurring with both digital and disc versions on PS4 and PS5.

There is a new bug associated with the latest update, it appears to have uninstalled packs and updated or modified existing installs to where you need to install the NEW files. I think this has to do with the attempts to compress file sizes due to pressure from the community to limit the size of MW.
DISC ONLY issue: There is another theory that the problem is stemming from the PS4 auto installing the campaign when you pop your disc in. When the game was first released the campaign was mandatory, so you have the ps4 copying the campaign from the disc as originally designed.
Here is what I have found, two different issues and resolutions.
1- PS4/5 keeps copying from the disc every time you restart.This appears to be the fastest and easiest fix at the moment, by simply downloading Campaign 1 and 2 (1-2mb) AND the spec ops pack(1mb) from within the COD settings will resolve the copying data issue. Some people are NOT downloading/installing campaign because they don't play it( like me but i have it downloaded and installed).This fix works and the only drawback is that you may have to do it each time but these files are small, about 3 MB total for all of them- so you are going to spend maybe a couple of minutes max downloading and installing. I have seen that putting your ps in sleep mode also causes the issue more frequently- so if you can close game and shut down that may resolve the recurring need to do the steps above.
2- This is the more common issue I'm seeing. At the title screen, if you see "install suspended" press x to see the list of installs. You need to uninstall any files that are "installed" then re-install ALL of them from THAT screen ( don't do this from the PS store add ons).
Hope this helps you guys, I know its a major pain in the ass and the last thing we want to do is be scouring the internet reading and watching fixes for a problem you didn't cause. They just released this update and I am sure they are aware of the problem- hopefully they send us a little care package with a fix in it.
How to delete save files PS5:
Go to Settings ,Saved Data and Game App Settings. Select Saved Data (PS5) or Saved Data (PS4). Select Console Storage, Delete. Check the box next to the files you want to delete and select Delete.

-Highlight any content you wish to uninstall.
