Hello and welcome! Today I am showing you how to add the sole to our Victorian slippers. At the end of this video our slippers will be done and wearable! Using the tracing you made of your foot in the last video I’ll show you how to determine what size to use, and then go over attaching it to the finished upper. Pattern for the sole: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vUolNsRjBtPUNxkvZDW3Ht8k7RTMTiOJ/view?usp=sharing Supplies: Yarn: approximately 200 yards total of one or two fingering weight yarns Recommended: Knit Picks Palette: http://shrsl.com/2lzd8 (affiliate link) Hook: 2.75mm / US1 steel hook / US C/2 yarn hook Yarn needle Sewing needle and thread to match Leather: for the optional outer sole, 4/5oz Veg tanned, purchased at my local Tandy Leather store, but also available through their website https://tandyleather.com/collections/leather/products/copy-of-craftsman-oak-veg-tan-single-shoulders, OR Upholstery weight pleather, available at most sewing stores that carry home favor fabrics, 1/8th yard Felt: 1/8th yard of 72” wide felt or enough precut sheets to fit 4 sole pieces if not using a leather outer sole, or enough to fit 2 sole pieces of using a separate outer sole Glue: rubber or other contact cement is my recommendation, but any type of non-water soluble, flexible dry glue would work. https://www.amazon.com/Elmers-No-Wrinkle-Rubber-Cement-Applicator/dp/B004USUE1S/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=rubber+cement&qid=1607454914&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sr=8-3 Find me on Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/miss.philomena If you really enjoyed this video, please consider supporting me on Ko-Fi! https://ko-fi.com/missphilomena
