Hello Displorers, welcome to another informative video presented to you by Displore and thanks for watching. In this video, we shall look at the top 10 diamond producing countries in the world. The statement ‘Diamonds are a girl’s best friend’ is very true but truth is, diamond production is every economy’s best friend. Diamonds are highly sought after as gemstones and a commodity, known to portray luxury, opulence and even financial abundance.Although the world’s first diamond deposits are believed to have formed 900 million years ago, the first stones were found in India in the fourth century BC. In the past, no body cared who these little shinning guys called diamonds were, but South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo changed that by discovering diamond deposits never seen before, leading to the production of diamonds at a mass scale. With the shift in the value of diamonds, countries producing them are amongst the richest in the world even though some are still exceptions of focal circumstances.
