South Australians woke up to some tough new restrictions today after a coronavirus cluster in Adelaide's north. To stop it spreading, the government has put a halt to things like community sport and cut down gathering sizes in homes. Authorities say after months without any community transmission in the state they're determined to stop a "second wave" of the virus.
COVID WORLD
The USA has just passed 11 million cases of COVID as a bunch of states have brought in new strict measures to slow the spread. In slightly better news, US medical company Moderna says they have a vaccine that is nearly 95% effective. It comes just a week after another company Pfizer says they've got a vaccine too! Both of them still need to pass more safety tests and reviews, but it's still a good sign!
Over in England they're midway through their second lockdown. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has had to go into 2 weeks of self-isolation. The PM had a short meeting with someone who later contracted COVID and although he says he's as fit as a fiddle, it's still important to self-isolate.
Over in Germany there's an ad that's urging young people to do their patriotic duty in the war against COVID by doing nothing. Yep stay home, be lazy and stop the spread.
SCHOOL THERAPY DOG
It's been a stressful year for a lot of us but the kids at Kidman Park Primary School have had some extra help to get through it. They've got a therapy dog called Apollo who's making school a more relaxed and fun place to be.
GAME STUDY
If you're one of those people who can't get enough of games like Animal Crossing. You might just be a very happy person. Researchers at Oxford University studied data from 3,274 gamers who played Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Plants vs Zombies. Researchers asked them a bunch of questions about their mental health. The study found that those who play for hours a day are more likely to say they're happy than those who don't.
NZ BIRD OF THE YEAR
It's that time of year again when New Zealanders vote online for their Bird of the Year. It's the Kakapo also known as the mighty moss chicken - the world's heaviest, longest-living parrot - it can live up to 60 years old!

Lil Nas X is the latest artist to hold a digital gig within a game! Yep, a super-sized Roblox version of Lil Nas X treated millions of fans to four shows across two days. Complete with outfit and set changes and those classic Nas moves.
