Hello again from The Pottery Corner my studio near Chichester on the South Coast of England for another kiln opening glaze firing. The GoPro cut me off right at the end this time so I have left it with a rather abrupt finish – at least this saves you from having me wittering on! This firing contains pieces from my talented students with numerous Amaco glazes used in combination - with Amaco Celadon and Potter’s Choice glazes including Christmas Platters in Glacier, Seaweed, River Rock and Arctic blue to name but a few. The students have made some great pieces and I am always astounded by their creativity in classes. Ian the Iguana, created by Lesley, was made using the most basic technique of joining pinch pots – simple but very effective in the right hands. Lesley wins the Star Potter of the week for this piece – well deserved. I hope this will inspire you to try something new on your own work. Check out my Top Tip Tuesday videos for tips on clay related processes. If you wish to see items for sale from the studio head over to my website at thepotterycorner.co.uk to view items in the online shop. Course information is also available together with kiln services. Hope you have a chance to take a look. Do like and subscribe to see more from the studio. Cheers Sarah
