More than one dozen first or second-generation Americans of African descent are running for office across the U.S. in November 3rd's general elections. VOA Swahili reporter BMJ Muriithi spoke with Henry Momanyi, a Kenyan-American who is running for Brooklyn City Park council in Minnesota. With the U.S. presidential election just one day away, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump nationally in the polls, but only by a razor-thin margin in key states. White house correspondent Patsy Widakuswara has the latest on both campaigns and the millions of votes already cast. As we've mentioned, on Tuesday millions of American voters are casting their ballots to decide who will become their next president. Unlike elections in many other countries, there are aspects of the American electoral processes that are unique and unfamiliar to some of our viewers.
