The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted its report to the Madurai Bench of the Madras High court giving gory details of the Tuticorin custodial deaths of father-son duo Jayaraj and Benniks. The CBI report titled "Results of Laboratory Analysis," states that the DNA samples collected from the walls of the Sathankulam lockup, toilet, room of SHO, and from the lathis were a match to the samples of the two victims.
The charge sheet says that the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in New Delhi's expert opinion indicates, "that deceased Benniks and Jeyaraj were subjected to brutal torture by the accused police officials on the evening of 19.06.2020 and intervening night of 19-20.06.2020 in the Police Station Sathankulam, stands established."
The charge sheet also says that the brutal torture that Jayaraj and Benniks had to go through "was sufficient in the ordinary course of nature to cause their death." The CBI charge sheet refers both to the judicial inquiry conducted by the Kovilpatti magistrate as well as to the post-mortem report of the father-son duo to further establish its point that police brutality caused the death of the two individual.
It even states that the two victims were made to even clean the blood-splattered from their body on the floor with their clothes
