If you are riding in extremly cold weather: Use common sense and bring additional layers like Merino/Cashmere Sweaters, Merino long underpants, a thin down jacket (can highly recommend the "Down Sweater" or for a down free version the "Nano Puff" from Patagonia - had one with me on my trip around the world but didn't bring it to North Cape that's why I didn't show it) to put over the base layers! The only limit to your layers is how much fits under you jacket and pants. ;)
