Hey Y'all! Another off grid vlog from Caribou Lodge. Alyssa and Zac discuss what it was like to struggle through the coronavirus pandemic as small business owners. The Small Business Administration, Alaska Grants, Lost Revenue, how we fared in comparison to some others, all of it!!
Covid-19 in Alaska felt much different than it seemed in other states. We have just a small fraction of the people that some states have, and Alaska was the first state to fully reopen back in May i believe... As we listened to stories of other small businesses around the country being devastated we found ourselves hopeful and far more fortunate than others. It seemed that the few travelers to Alaska still wanted wilderness experiences away from the crazy crowds, and we definitely cater to that type of traveler!
Our off-season plan after the tourist season is CRAZY to say the least, and we cover that in this video as well. We will not be settling in for the winter here at the lodge.....Just watch this episode to find out what we have planned.
