"Evergreen & Blue is a collection of songs all inspired by the beautiful state of Colorado. As a native, I have thoroughly explored the state and was inspired to write original music that reflected experiences, locations, traditions, people, and cultures of the region. The lyrics and melodies found in all of the songs were carefully crafted to fully embody the important history and scenery of Colorado. Named by Native American peoples, Colorado stands for "color red" after the abundance of red clay soil around the state. The area is rich with color in so many capacities: the purple peak that was inspired by Katharine Lee Bates' lyric, "purple mountain majesties" representing Pikes Peak, the black forest, red rocks, and evergreen and blue landscape that I call home." ~ Baylee
Baylee Parks is a performer, composer, and artist. She has a diverse skillset in performance that unites with an ingenuity in musical entrepreneurship. Parks’ education in Music Business from the University of Colorado has enhanced her experience in music composition, personal branding, content promotion, and music distribution. Parks released her first singles, “Simplicity,” and “Home” in 2015, and her first EP, Dolce in 2016. Parks released her next EP, Wild Indigo, from Mountain Nest Studios in 2019. In the fall of 2020, Parks released her first full length album, Evergreen & Blue in collaboration with Wescott Pro Audio.
