Disney College Program Days 144 - 149
Disney Springs with Mary Beth, Running the Cast and Family 5K, and Work Days
DCP Diaries #40
This DCP vlog is full of a bunch of random stuff! On my off day, I went to Disney Springs with Mary Beth. We ate dinner at Polite Pig and I picked up my Cast and Family 5K bib and packet. We shopped around for a bit and bought a puzzle that we did later that night while watching New Girl. The following day, I had a lifeguard in-service training (IST) shift and a PM shift. I was also starting to feel a bit sick that day. The next morning I had an AM shift. Then, I took a nap and went to hang out with coworkers at Howl at the Moon. Courtney and I left early because I had to get up insanely early for the Cast and Family 5K the next day.
I woke up right on time and caught a nice Disney Cruise Line bus to Animal Kingdom. I walked in the middle-of-the-night darkness toward Dinoland where they had a Be Well fair full of cool companies promoting both fun and fitness. Then, we start the race! The 5K route took us all over Animal Kingdom, including backstage, the parking lot, the main entrance, Discovery Island, Pandora, and Asia. I was able to stop for some low quality pictures and videos along the way. I wish I would've brought my better camera to capture Animal Kingdom before, during, and after sunrise. But I guess the iPhone footage worked out ok lol. Although I was running solo, I still had a great time. My first runDisney race in the books! The two days after that, I had PM shifts and just relaxed at Vista Way. I also let you know that we were about to get a new roommate and the next day I would be traveling home! Exciting stuff!

Hi friends! My name is Kimmy Martino and I filmed every day of my Disney College Program. I was a lifeguard at Disney's Wilderness Lodge for the DCP Fall Advantage 2018 program and extended into the DCP Spring 2019 program. I am posting all of my daily vlogs from my time as a Disney Cast Member and calling it DCP Diaries. Some videos might span an entire week or only a couple days. It just depends on what I was up to and how much I filmed. And that is the reason I wanted to vlog every day. I wanted to document the entire experience! I didn't just want to show having fun in the Disney Parks. I wanted to include the days when I looked like trash, went to work and lifeguarded for up to 11 hours, came home, did laundry, and went to bed. Because that is what it is really like!
