Isaias has weakened back to a strong tropical storm as the combined impacts of strong wind shear, dry air, and land interaction have taken a toll on the storm. However, Isaias is forecast to re-intensify into a hurricane as it nears the Florida coast, where hurricane warnings are still in place. People in Florida and Grand Bahama need to have preparations completed imminently, and listen to local officials to stay safe during the duration of Tropical Storm Isaias's passage.
While the exact path of Tropical Storm Isaias past Florida still aren't fully clear, odds of impacts further north than the Florida continue to rise. Tropical storm watches have been extended into South Carolina, and a wide swath of land from South Carolina to Massachusetts could see 4-6 inches of rainfall in a relatively short time-span, raising a significant concern for flash flooding.

If you are in the potential path of Isaias please have a hurricane plan in place and/or active depending on the time-frame for potential impacts, and please stay safe and informed during the duration of the storm.
