ITV National Weather Intro - Emotions (Shaving), 2001-02

After dropping the Weathergens, it is fair to say that Powergen, the energy company sponsoring ITV's weather forecasts, gave themselves a hard act to follow. Yet if lowering our expectations so much that they would do really well if they thought of a good intro sequence like the Weathergens, then mission accomplished. This incredibly poor set of idents, dubbed "Emotions" by Powergen, were meant to play on pathetic fallacy by making the weather add drama to boring lifestyles. Yet dull and poorly-thought out title sequences like this one have a terrible success rate. Sorry my usual ITV weather intros have been interrupted by Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? recently; weather intros will come through more frequently now. (C) 2001 ITV/Powergen
