Does copyright claim affect YouTube channel monetization?

We have a lot of confusion over channel monetization. This is because YouTube only gives your directions on a high level. However, there may be cases where you may not even understand why your channel is not monetized.
A lot of people are worried if the watch hours of copyright claimed video will even be considered for the monetization eligibility. The most frequent questions asked to me is - Will the claims impact the watch time? I have a Copyright Claim. Can I Monetize My YouTube Channel? Copyright Hai Monetization Hoga Ya Nahi?
The reasons are not straight forward. But we need to know the primary aspect that YouTube looks into any videos.
