#Diphu town and various adjacent areas inundated due to the incessant heavy rainfall occurred on Tuesday night 28th July'20. As reported, the overflow of Diphu river as well as other streamlets after the continuous rainfall in Diphu created havoc in and around Diphu town and its surrounding areas. Diphu market including KASA stadium, DIC office, Diphu Medical College & Hospital, Town & Country Planning office, Dharamnala, Beltola, Amlapatty, Sarthe colony, Rongcheklam, etc. were inundated. Further, the concerned citizens of Diphu however slammed the KAAC authority for their unpreparedness, improper planning and inappropriate drainage system in the town to tackle such unpredictable situations during the monsoon season. While a woman from Rongcheklam, Diphu expressed her sadness as more than 10 quintals rice of FP shop which are for the distribution to people were all submerged.
