NYC Phase 2 set to begin with outdoor restaurant seating, barbershops

Governor Andrew Cuomo confirmed Friday that New York City will enter Phase 2 of reopening Monday, June 22, as key indicators across the state continue to show positive progress in the fight against the coronavirus. In his final daily COVID-19 briefing, Cuomo said hospitals reported caring 1,284 COVID-19 patients on Friday, the lowest since the peak of the crisis. More than 79,000 tests were administered across the state Friday, a record high, while the state saw its lowest weekly infection rate and the lowest weekly average of deaths.
