JAPAN VLOG | TOKYO, KYOTO & OSAKA

Hi Guys! So as you know, it was never my intention to vlog/share anything from my travelling trip last year so please excuse that it's not in true 'vlog' format. Instead I've talked through our itinerary and what we got up to, including pictures and video clips so you can get a better feel for how amazing Japan is! Hopefully you find it helpful and will at least give you you a starting point when planning your Japan trip! Tokyo: 3.10 Kyoto: 27.04 Osaka: 35.30 Here is my written itinerary: Tokyo: Hotel- Henn Na (Akasaka area- very central and great transport links. Lots of nice restaurants here too) Day 1: HARAJUKU AREA -Animal cafes- owls, otters, hedgehogs -Yoyogi Park- hire bikes just outside of here and cycle around park -Meji Shrine- inside Yoyogi park (dedicated to famous Emperor Meji) SHIBUYA AREA -Explored bustling streets -Golden Gai- bar hopping around this area -Baseball cages Day 2: YEBISU AREA -Puppy cafe -Yebisu Beer museum & tasting SHINJUKU AREA -Robot restaurant -Bars/Clubbing Day 3: OTEMACHI AREA -Imperial Palace -Explored finance area- similar to canary wharf vibes AKIABARA AREA -Electronics town! -Explored all the arcades Day 4: -Sumo Training- https://www.viator.com/en-GB/tours/Tokyo/Watch-Sumo-Morning-Practice-at-a-Sumo-Stable-in-Tokyo/d334-13441P10 ASAKUSA AREA -Sensoji Temple -Markets SHIBUYA AREA -Shibuya crossing -Hachicko Statue AKASAKA AREA -Izakayas- small Japanese restaurants where the locals eat- max 8-10 people in each one MINATO AREA -Sky Lounge Stellar Garden (The Prince Park Tower Tokyo)- beautiful hotel with rooftop bar with amazing views of Tokyo Day 5 NIKKO DAY TRIP -USE JRP (Japan Rail Pass)- leave Tokyo by 7-8am. Buy bus tickets when you get to Nikko station to get around Nikko town to all of the main sites. -Shinkyo Bridge -Toshogu Shrine -Kegon Falls -Lake Chuzenji Day 6 -Team Lab Exhibition- amazing 4d exhibition! MUST SEE! Book in advance. AKIABARA AREA -Mario Kart racing- MUST DO! Book 2 months in advance and get *international driving license* in your own country prior to going to Japan or else you can't do this! -Arcades- cash only! Explore all levels as they have different themed games! -Coco Curry House- Chain katsu curry restaurant..can customise ingredients and spice level...we had several meals here and 1000% recommend! NISHISHINJUKU AREA -Park Hyatt Tokyo- Boujie hotel with amazing rooftop bar for views over Tokyo Day 7 -TOKYO DISNEYLAND- book in advance to avoid queueing! SUCH A FUN DAY! Day 8 KYOTO JRP Tokyo - Kyoto Hotel- Sai Hotel (Gion area- very central and great transport links) -Japanese Tea Ceremony- dress up in Kimonos and experience a large part of Japanese culture! -Onsen- bathe naked in hot springs straight from the earth! Sounds weird, but honestly such an incredible experience to be doing that in the middle of the mountains! Day 9 Nijo Castle IWATAYAMA AREA -Monkey Park- a bit of a walk up to the top but amazing views and lots of monkeys! - Arashiyama bamboo forest GION -Bar Rocking chair- cute bar where all chairs are rocking chairs. Great cocktails! Day 10 -Fushimi- Inari- Taisha- iconic temple where Memoirs of a Geisha was filmed! Super touristy and busy so try and get there early! Day 11 NARA DAY TRIP -USE JRP -Deer Park -Toda ji Great Buddha Hall Day 12 OSAKA JRP Kyoto - Osaka Hotel- Minamisenba Crystal Hotel -Shopping complex and walking around city centre -DONTONBORI -Explored the area-major night life, bars, restaurants etc CHUO -Bar Natuya- MUST VISIT! Super cool, hard to find entrance and has secret passageway! No menu, but they make you drinks based on your taste! DAY 13 -Osaka Castle- beautiful castle with gorgeous grounds! -Umeda Sky building- amazing tall tower with incredible 360 degree view of Osaka! DAY 14 HIROSHIMA DAY TRIP USE JRP (leave Osaka early-7am vibes) -Floating temple- MiyaJima island (take boat from Hiroshima dock- takes around 20 mins. Can buy tickets on the day) -Hiroshima Atomic Bomb side -Atomic Bomb Museum -Peace Memorial Sorry for information overload! Hopefully some of this is useful to you! Japan was truly amazing and I haven't been anywhere like it since! You will definitely love it!
