This is an incredibly fun DIY project that combines technology and hands-on building. Using a two-way mirror in a frame, a display is placed behind the mirror and then driven by a small computer, typically a Raspberry Pi. You can then use FREE software to display all kinds of fun and helpful tidbits like the time, the date, your calendar, music, videos, etc. We couldn't fit everything into a single DIY smart mirror video, so we tried to keep it to the basics and give you everything you need to be inspired to make your own smart mirror. If you've ever wanted to make a DIY smart mirror, this should at least show you how it all works and set you on the right path!
