My dad built this small table 65 years ago. He and my mom were married in 1955 and shortly after that he took a woodworking night class. This table was one of his projects from the class.
I recently got this table handed down to my by my mum as she was downsizing. I decided I wanted to make my own version of this table, inspired by and patterned after the one my dad made. I hit on the idea of making them into nesting tables. I would make a bigger one, sized to work as a side table in a living room, and the smaller original would fit underneath.
