We're "In the Moment" with Alex Mandell, Community Involvement Coordinator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Mid-Atlantic Region, giving a brief update on the L.A. Clarke and Son Superfund Site. The site-team is working closely with the potentially responsible parties’ as well as the state to ensure the current remedies for Operable Unit (OU) one through four are protective. Every five years the EPA conducts a thorough review of the site to evaluate the implementation and performance of a remedy to determine whether it remains protective of human health and the environment. The next Five-Year Review for the L.A. Clarke and Son site is due in August 2020.
