We Rescued a Baby Mole Rat From The Pool! New Pet? Today was a rather interesting day! We found what we thought was a rat in our pool but turns out it was a mole rat! We see rats often in our backyard and find them in the pool a lot but today it was a mole rat and it was still alive! It was trying to swim around the pool to find a spot to climb out but it couldn't. So we took matters into our own hands and rescued it out with a net. Trinity and Madison found it a cage that we could put it in to let it dry off. They wanted to keep it as their new pet, of course, but after it had time to get warm and dry off, we released it back into the wild.
