OUR STORY
PROJECT NIHON / sustainable art travel... started as an experimental art and film project by a sister and brother collaborative team, exploring what happens when art and travel become mutually intertwined.
Meghan Keane and Michael Keane went to Japan in spring 2010. For 25 days, Meghan made art and Michael filmed the process — all while traveling around at a pace of 1-3 cities a day.
Upon return to Tokyo, Project Nihon had a 3 day pop-up exhibition.
On the last day, the work was given away to visitors in a de-installation ceremony, as a THANK YOU to Japan for inspiring the body of work.
Follow our journey here and connect with us anywhere on social.
Thank you 💜 Arigato gozaimashita ありがとうございました
ps. NIHON = "Japan" in Japanese (日本)
