***There is three types of video format for this test, please choose the one that fits better to your taste or device.*** [3D SBS] version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkV2YpPfzvo [3D / 2D Stretched] version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjBGecSKMGI Attention (for Full Height): To watch this version in 3D please use the mobile YouTube app and activate cardboard mode (a device like Google Cardboard is needed), otherwise it will be presented as 2D by default, on the Quest headset (and maybe other HMDs) it is 3D by default. On PC, this will be presented as 2D by default with no 3D option. About this test: In this test I did a series of recordings with 2 different methods for the displayed frame-size for each eye, with the objective being to see which of the 2 methods gives the best alignment and comfort, therefore, causing less strain on the eyes. I also did the recordings with 5 different games to observe how much of variation there would be between each title. The footage written “Before” is the recording without any changes made, basically the same way I uploaded all the previous videos. The footage written “After” is the improved recording using the new method. On the Oculus Quest, which is the only 3D viewing device I own, the improved “After” footage are easier on the eyes and one step closer to achieving native comfort compared to when I’m playing the games, and I hope this translates well to other types of devices as well. Although I might be wrong, I believe this new improved method of recording will benefit all devices, and from now on I would like to upload all the future videos using this method, unless some unforeseen complication arises from this change. If you have any feedback on how the “Before” and “After” footage look in your device, please let me know in the comments. Thank you. On another note, the other problem i was trying to tackle is the recording fps problem, at first i thought it was a problem with my PC, but searching around it seems to be a steam / openvr issue, not sure if it will be possible to solve / fix this...
