The Coronavirus and the Babylonian Exile - Part 2

This second video continues where Dr. John Bergsma left off, discussing how the trauma of the Babylonian Exile is similar to our own trauma of exile from the sacraments during Coronavirus Quarantine. As mentioned before, he explains how God's people learned to communicate with God in a powerfully new way and how the fourth book of the Psalter (Psalms 90‑106) developed through this fresh form of prayer. Dr. Bergsma concludes by explaining that, in the same way the psalter was therapeutic for the trauma of their exile, the psalms also serve not only as prayer but also as trauma therapy for our own exile from the sacraments.
